Casey Blake  

Casey Blake

Casey Blake played professionally from 1996-2012. He made his MLB debut in 1999, with the Toronto Blue Jays, and then continued his career with the Minnesota Twins, Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He had alternated between playing at third base and first base before becoming a full-time third baseman.

 

Tony Watson

Watson attended Dallas Center-Grimes High School in Grimes, Iowa. In 2003, his senior year, Watson threw three no-hitters and had a 0.10 earned run average (ERA). He won the Bob Feller Award as the top high school pitcher in Iowa. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Angels. Watson attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and played college baseball for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Watson was drafted by the Pirates in the ninth round of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft. He made his MLB debut in 2011, was an MLB All-Star in 2014, and is the all time MLB leader in holds.

 

Joey Oakie

Joey graduated from Ankeny Centennial High School (’24). He was named 1st team All-State three consecutive years including being named captain of the 4A team as a junior. Following his junior season, Joey participated in the Perfect Game All-American Game and was a member of Team USA (18U). Joey was named the Gatorade and The Game One and IHSBCA player of the year for Iowa this past season. Although he committed to play baseball at the University of Iowa during his freshman year of high school, Joey elected to play pro baseball after being drafted by the Cleveland Guardians in the third round of the 2024 MLB draft.
